Many people are lucky enough to get have a naturally high metabolic process and I'm sure you realize a few people that may eat just anything and never gain a pound. Unfortunately for many people, holiday weight gain is inevitable. The work parties, holiday cookies, a little alcohol cheer, holiday tension, little or zero exercise throughout the holiday season and just the simple fact that winter months typically lead towards putting on weight. That's why so many people make slimming down their New Year's Resolution every year and try to lose weight after the holidays.
That is not surprising and every one of us understand what causes winter weight gain - we eat much more calories than we burn. It's fun to celebrate the holiday season along with eat and be merry. My diet and i am sure lots of people like me go on what I call the ???See Food Diet???, you realize... the diet if you notice food, you eat it. Then there are the people like me who eat things just to show the host appreciation for the appetizer or dish they prepared. We actually need to limit ourselves to just having a bite or perhaps a tiny serving, which is tough to do... I understand.
Gaining weight is way easier than slimming down, what exactly we actually need to do is control ourselves from gaining weight. There always seems to be more food around throughout the holidays and if you are a border-line food addict, it's pretty easy to nibble and cookies, candy, leftovers the whole day. Then add a little stress and worry to any or all might we discover ourselves eating into oblivion. With that in mind... those foods moving in your mouth need to be controlled or weight gain gets out of control and losing it becomes even more difficult.
Attempt to stay with foods that provide you vitamins and minerals and use common sense when you get food. Don't just toss it inside your mouth... view it and get yourself if is packed with sugar, fat and carbs? Locate a veggie tray and enjoy those while everyone around you eats all of the high sugar snacks away. Be cautious with the drinks, they frequently are loaded with calories. Holiday drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are often designed to look and taste yummy and not together with your waist line in perspective.
If your house is like our home... there's candy, homemade cookies, chocolate, eggnog, cakes, pastries and much more wherever you go. The one thing you need to think about this is actually the sugar. Sugar is empty calories and the less you can put into your mouth, the greater. Eat foods that will boost your metabolism. You have to treat the body just like a temple! Think of your body like a high performance sports car. You're going to only put the best coal and oil in it and take it in for check-ups as scheduled. If you're car was 15 years old and filled with rust... you most likely would purchase the cheap gas and forget concerning the check-ups right? So, when food enters the mouth area, consider if this is exactly what you would feed your high end sports body?
??? Are You Hungry? If not, don't hold off the meals. ??? Nutrition Value? Eat Healthy and Nutritious Foods. ??? Calories and Sugar? Eat one bite or perhaps a small serving. ??? Are You Full? Create be in the "Clean Plate Club" ??? Don't Eat 3 Hours prior to going to bed.
The Best advice I'm able to provide you with is to try and keep your eating habits in perspective this holiday season and you won't have to worry a lot about the holiday putting on weight. Count your blessings and give thanks that the friends have abundance enough to share food and friendship along with you. We are fortunate that we can enjoys this holiday celebration no matter what religion we are and be blessed that people are best than most people in this world. We take for granted sometimes that people possess a roof over our head, food to consume and clothes to wear.
Treat your body with respect and do not abuse it by stuffing as must sugar, fats and carbs inside it as possible over the holidays. Then turn around after the holidays and beat it up some more attempting to undo all you did. You should Eat to Live... not Live to consume. If only you and your family a happy, safe and enjoyable holiday season and do not deprive yourself from all the great drinks and food, you need to be sensible and your holiday putting on weight will be kept under control.
